Sawasdee Village, Kata Beach This hotel is a hidden gem with amazing gardens, wonderful dining area and pool. The hotel is located over koi ponds and has a wonderful atmosphere. Hotel staff couldn t do enough to assist, we felt like royalty. Our room, deluxe garden villa was bigger than some of the other rooms but disappointingly smaller than we expected and dwarfed by a huge bed. There was no drawer space or storage space. We were there for a week and I was unable to unpack which made the room feel even more cramped. Although there was a fridge and 4 bottles of free water a day, there was no kettle which was most unusual for a hotel of this calibre. There are computers in every room with flat screen which doubles as a T.V. This is very good but we encountered many problems in our room with the computer and for entertainment purposes the screen was too small and inadequate. Beech towels were provided daily with a convenient carry-on bag and transport provided hourly. When we requested to return not on the hour, but the half hour this was accommodated without question. Nice outside sitting area. Lot of mosquitos but the hotels does everything to keep this to the minimum including special burners in the gardens and mosquito nets around the beds. We asked to see the larger rooms, ie. Baray Villas and couldn t resist the opportunity to upgrade for our last night. This experience was the most amazing one and the highlight of our holiday - who said that a hotel room is only to sleep. The Baray Villas are the last word in luxury and decadence and we enjoyed every second of the 28 hours that we were there. For special occasions - honeymoons, wedding anniversaries or people with the money, go for it. I would seriously consider going at the beginning of the season or end of the season for a weekend - AMAZING. only small critism is that the decor is Arabesque and really when in Thailand I would have preferred Thai decor that is qhy I picked the Sawasdee in the first place. I am still blown away by the experience. |

Sawasdee Village, Kata Beach Great and beautiful hotel however, extremely over priced! I would suggest eating and drinking anywhere but here. The prices were almost three times as much as others! Nice room, great pool. |
great! |

Sawasdee Village, Kata Beach the hotel itself is wonderful and its restaurant is good as well. But other restaurants on that street are terrible (especially the one on the corner). I suggest future visitor have their meals in the hotel or in the wonderful restaurants on patong beach. |
very good |

Sawasdee Village, Kata Beach Our stay at Sawasdee Village was absolutely fabulous!!! I would recommend this lovely little resort to anyone and everyone. Our experience was entirely pleasant. The staff were tremendously helpful and friendly: they were always courteous and accommodating. Should we ever make it back to Thailand, we will undoubtedly be staying there again. |
The booking service was very helpful and it was as a result of Sawasdee Web that we discovered Sawasdee Village. We are very thankful for that. |

Sawasdee Village, Kata Beach We had a great time at your hotel. We found the rooms to be really comfortable and we just loved the decor. The gardens surrounding the rooms were exceptionally beautiful. The hotel had a great location with a very prompt shuttle to and from the beach. Your staff was great. We especially liked Tuk Tuk. He was always so pleasant and accomodating. Thanks again for a great get-away. I just can t say enough good things about your secret little hide-a-way hotel and it s great staff. Sawasdee Village, Kata Beach We absolutely loved Sawasdee Village & were sad to leave. It is the most beautiful oasis that we could have just stayed @ the hotel and enjoyed ourselves. Good walk to the beach but have regular shuttles for the physically challenged. The rooms aren t huge but you really only sleep there, very comfortable. Check out the Baray Villas they are sensational. All staff were the best and the restaurant /breakfast were great. We can t praise the hotel enough, just hope we get to return!!!! |
Great. very happy! |
