Tania & Anthony 2008-04-24 until 2008-05-01	Tongsai Bay Cottages & Hotel, Tongsai Beach This resort is a honeymooner s paradise if quiet pampering times is what you are after. definitly 5 star with the service, and the staff are so friendly and kind. The grounds are gorgeous and well maintained. Nothing is ever a problem and staff are always happy to help. Beach does have very coarse sand but does not stop using beach and is not harsh on the feet. Restaurant food is amazing with moderate pricing. We stayed in one of the cottage suites which has recently been renovated. My wife and i were amazed with the size of the split level cottage and views are breath taking. The resort is massive and there are golf buggies to take you around.Some of the walks to the suites can be tiring as they are situated on hill sides and have some steep inclines. Main part of samui is a 300b trip and about 15 min. Overall well worth the stay.

The resort itself was spectacular, rooms were great, beach was beautiful and facilities were top notch. More importantly, however, is the service from the staff - impeccable! They couldnt have done anymore for us during our stay. Not only were they extremely polite and attentive, but they went the extra step where possible to make our stay super special. For one, the birthday cake they left for Laura s birthday - we hadnt even mentioned it to staff, I cant think of any other hotel Ive stayed at even considering doing such a thing. Full marks to Tongsai Bay, we highly recommend it to anyone wanting a truly relaxing and indulgent getaway. Thank you! korb khun.	Great
POUJADE family 2007-12-18 until 2007-12-21	Tongsai Bay Cottages & Hotel, Tongsai Beach The hotel is really superb ,we reserved a grand villa and the sea view is incredible ,i ve never seen something like that ! The restaurant are good and the chef chom s thai restaurant is fantastic for a very reasonnable price, we really enjoyed it . the only bad point is that the beach is not really good and there are very big waves ,so the swim in the sea can be dangerous .There is a lot of steps too to acess to your bungalow ,so it was a bit difficult with our baby stroller ,but there is buggy for transportation inside the hotel domain . L hotel est superbe et le service top aussi .Nous avions reservé un tongsai grand villa ( chambre 502) et la vue était fantastique ,on voyait la mer turquoise à 360 degré . Les restaurants sont bons aussi ,surtout le restuarant thai ,chef chom, en plus ce n est pas cher pour la qualité de la nourriture ! Nous avions une seule deception : la plage .Le sable était gros et faisait mal au pied et le mer est toujours très agitée dans la baie ,il y a toujours beaucoup de vague ( jusqu à 1 metre !)et la baignaide est souvent -sinon toujours pour les enfants ou les gens qui ne nagent pas très bien- dangereuse. Du coup on été surtout à la piscine

Balcony had a huge bathtub for bathing al fresco, as well as bed with mosquito netting. Hotel is more like a resort and far from the noises of the street.	easy

What stands out most was the amazing location and the quality of the service, which was better than some of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed in, including the Oriental in Bangkok. Everything was exactly as promised.	The booking service was easy to use, and offered promopt email confirmation and good flexibility about changing reservations.

The hotel facilities are first-rate -- we enjoyed the quiet, private beach; the room was very well appointed and every room has a terrific view. The staff was the most gracious of any hotel we visited in Thailand (including some with world-wide reputations). The buffet breakfasts were tops. I would gladly recommend this hotel to anyone who likes a quiet, moderate-sized but full-service hotel. We did not want to leave.	Sawadee.com met all expectations.

The gardens are stunning, the rooms are lush, the pools are magnificant!! Service is friendly, food is good - great value for money. It s a real 5 star! an all round 10/10 !! Mrs Maxine Cook 2004-11-05 until 2004-11-11	Tongsai Bay Cottages & Hotel, Tongsai Beach We booked the Tongsai Bay Hotel as it looks wonderful in the holiday brochures and is portrayed as a luxurious 5 star hotel - we were disappointed - perhaps that is because we have stayed in some wonderful hotels in Thailand and Malaysia and were comparing it with them - it is looking a bit tired and in need of some renovation - the staff were great though and the food wonderful (portions enormous no wonder they have a low fat menu in addition to the main menu!). Anyway we checked out after 4 nights after visiting the Dusit Santiburi on Maenam beach and moved there for the remaining 2 nights (approx £10 a night each more expensive but no comparision very luxurious rooms even in the main building) where we were met by the manager (he meets all the guests apparently not just when they check in but is always walking around the restaurants, pool area etc) - we have no idea who the manager is at the Tongsai Bay and even at the Hotel cocktail party we were not spoken to by any management - surely this is an ideal opportunity to meet guests and find out if they are enjoying their stay? So next time we book a 5 star hotel we will be extra careful in our choice.	No problems with booking service - found it very easy - had a few flight changes and it was easy to e mail hotel and advise them
