LON KOK CHUEN 2008-07-28 until 2008-07-29	Grand Watergate Hotel, Petchburi Road, Soi 15 Hotel exterior & interior are new, the standard room I stayed is clean & neat with furnishing & furniture in a contemporary style. The bathroom is sparkling bright & clean. The staff are friendly but hardly notice any bellboy around when needed to open the door at lobby after heavy shopping. Room rates are value for money but location is quite deep in street and most taxi does not know the hotel yet. Extra caution when return from night shopping if walking to hotel.	Fast & efficient.
Lin Weiming 2008-07-26 until 2008-07-30	Grand Watergate Hotel, Petchburi Road, Soi 15 I couldnt get the hotel i wanted so i chose G.watergate,as it looks pretty nice on its website.Took a taxi from airpot,my cab driver didnt know where the hotel was after telling him so many times the address.We spent like 3mins+ searching for the right lane to hotel;cab fare came to 450baht.Room bed is very comfortable,but my room had some red ants crawling at the headboard and sometimes on the bed,i had to separate my bed from the wall.I also found some ants and fruitflies in the toilet n towels:(.Room also had an unpleasant stale smell,like somebody just bombed the toilet,it really stinks,but after turning on the old fashion a/c the smell went away,it only happened once the key is taken out with u and when u come back to room the smell starts all over again.I suspect it came from the bathroom sinks or drainage.I dont like the funny drainage smell when showering,and water wasnt in consistent flow but temperature was fine.No place to put shower stuff,bathroom is crampy,people with long legs will have problems with toiletseat.No kettle,no hairdryer,free 2 bottles of water only.A/c is old but its very cold even i set to 26degress;tile floor gets icy cold.Breakfast is ok,same everyday ard 7am-10am.After knowing the main routes to pratuman(10mins walk),Central world(almost 20mins+ walk),Rachathewi BTS(aboout 10MINS walk),i got used to my hotel & location.Its not too bad as theres many things to see on foot and hidden shopping places to explore.Im not sure if other rooms experience the ants and the smell.I will stay this hotel again if there werent any hotel available.I was told by the hotel staff that from hotel to airport would cost 400baht;if u are taking cab from outside hotel make sure u bargain as their starting price would be ard 500baht.	efficient
Woo Meiyan Melissa & Poh Shixin Daphne 2008-07-11 until 2008-07-15	Grand Watergate Hotel, Petchburi Road, Soi 15 Location - slightly out of the way as u have to go into the inner lanes. cab drivers do not always know the way in and often need to be directed. Room - relatively clean, although the bathroom mirror had strange spots and the cupboard a small smell. aircon and heated water were fine. water pressure was a bit small Breakfast - standard eggs, sausages and fried rice everyday Service - decent friendly staff Ease of getting cab - there are cabs waiting outside the hotel everyday but beware if they offer v low fares - they may bring u to some tourist places to walk ard to earn gas money. if u ve time u can do a good deed but if not just ask for meter or walk out. overall.. decent hotel for the price. but u have to know how to get there!	fast and efficient
Kevin Labbe 2008-06-30 until 2008-07-03	Grand Watergate Hotel, Petchburi Road, Soi 15 new, comfortable, spacious and has easy access to shopping centers and transportation. Great deal for breakfast buffet!	Great and very professional! I will use it again.
Joshua Samuel 2008-06-05 until 2008-06-07	Grand Watergate Hotel, Petchburi Road, Soi 15 I was in Bangkok for 3 nights & i must say that the hotel was just perfect.It is just 5-7 minutes walk from all the shopping malls like Pantip plaza, Platinim mall,Indira square etc.The rooms were good & clean & the staff was very friendly.I would definetely recomend this hotel.
