Mr.Andrew Henderson and Ms.Mantana Monkh 2008-08-16 until 2008-08-18	Sofitel Centara Grand Bangkok, Phaholyothin Road - Chatuchak If you go to Bangkok, whatever you do dont stay at the Sofitel Centara. Ill tell you why...its made of the same concrete as you would expect to find in a council tower block, not surprising then that thats what it looks like. I think that this was perhaps the architects first attempt at a habitable dwelling after a short career designing multi storey car parks. And it gets worse when you go inside the carbuncle.it was origianaly interior designed in the 70 s and has not had a makeover since, my room and indeed the entire hotel was ugly,tired and dirty and had that strange smell of an old persons house. I was particulary repeled by the Kilo of dust caked into the aircon vent in room 1124, did you know that dust is 80% dead skin? my aircon made a lot of noise but didnt actually cool the room, the roar from the six lane highway provides a constant hum in your room, the check in boy couldnt find my booking and was so nervous when he when he had to tell me for the second time in as many hours that my room wasnt ready that i thought he was going to wet himself, my limousine was a tired 10year old Mercedes E class, the food in the chinese restaurant was...well lets put it this way i wouldnt give it to my dog even if he had just eaten my favourite shoes! Its a sad and dreary place best left to flight crews and budget pakage holiday makers. My sugestion....sleep in a park or under a motorway bridge, walk the streets all night..do anything other than stay at the Sofitel Centara.
John McDermott 2008-02-08 until 2008-02-11	Sofitel Centara Grand Bangkok, Phaholyothin Road - Chatuchak I always stay at this hotel when leaving BKK. I enjoy the hotel and the area around the hotel. Very convenient to MTR and the Ladproe mall	Slightly more expensive then other sites but had the rooms available
Mr K Shimmin 2008-02-03 until 2008-02-08	Sofitel Centara Grand Bangkok, Phaholyothin Road - Chatuchak Have stayed here before and its good hotel with clean room and great breakfast. Very handy location for us who know the city well, but might be a bit far out from the centre for many (originally was good for the Airport but of course now its far from the new one).	Same good service as usual
Mary Tan 2007-08-12 until 2007-08-16	Sofitel Centara Grand Bangkok, Phaholyothin Road - Chatuchak The hotel has all the 5 stars facilities and the breakfast is good. The location link to a Central Plaza shopping mall and close to chatuchak and there is transfer from hotel to Central Chidlom. Basically we choose this hotel as we are on business trip and there is less traffic jam issue.	This is second time choose sawadee.com. The response from sawadee.com is fast.
Clyde Allen 2007-06-26 until 2007-06-28	Sofitel Centara Grand Bangkok, Phaholyothin Road - Chatuchak Great services incl. variety of restaurants. However, reception staff were cool and uninterested. Buffet breakfast was excellent. The location was close to the subway but too close to the freeway and there was no view, other than the traffic, from our room. The phone and internet services were very expensive. The room was average and clean. The shopping centre next door had an excellent Thai massage parlour. Would stay there again; rate it 3 out of 5.
Barbara Downing 2006-08-03 until 2006-08-04	Sofitel Central Plaza Bangkok, Phaholyothin Road - Chatuchak stayed at the sofitel central plaza and we were very happy with the lovely room and staff.we have never seen a better breakfast and would recomend this hotel to all.	sawadee was excellent and would use them again without hesitation
Nalinthone 2006-07-26 until 2006-07-30	Sofitel Central Plaza Bangkok, Phaholyothin Road - Chatuchak The hotel was beautiful and the people were very friendly and helpful. However, the 2 suites we stayed in BOTH smelled kind of bad. My parents room had a very strong cigarette smoke smell and our floor was supposed to be a non-smoking floor. Our room had a sort of moldy smell. It wasn t very pleasant. Other than that, the location of the hotel was EXCELLENT, right next to a HUGE shopping mall.	It was easy to book throught this website.

McDade 2006-05-24 until 2006-05-25	Sofitel Central Plaza Bangkok, Phaholyothin Road - Chatuchak I was dissappointed that I had made my reservations 2 months ahead and when we arrived around 4:00 p.m., we were told we had to wait 45 minutes for a room to become available. This caused us to miss our schedule for the evening. The room on this date was what we had requested and very clean.	The booking service was excellent.
