Located in the centre of beautiful and still non commercialised Maenam Beach on the North Coast of Koh Samui, Moonhut is a small Thai / European family run resort of twenty Samui style beach bungalows built in a semi circle all facing the ocean.
At Moonhut we aim to keep a relaxed & casual atmosphere & make all our guests feel like Moonhut is their home away from home.

Moonhut has four types of bungalow: family, beachfront, standard air conditioned & standard fan. Every one has an en suite western style bathroom and private balcony with stunning views over Koh Pha-Ngan.

Family Bungalows
Our Family Bungalow  has a total area of 64 square metres & is built on the sand, 25 metres from the water's edge. There is a large balcony, two completely separate air conditioned bedrooms, one with twin beds & one with a king size bed, with both having en suite bathrooms with hot water shower. There is also a sitting room with settee, arm chairs and fridge. The Bungalow can accommodate an extra bed if needed allowing a family of up to five persons to stay comfortably. The Bungalow is also available as 2 separate units.

Our three Beachfront Bungalows  have a total area of 32 Sq.m and are located just a few steps from the water's edge. They are equipped with king size bed, air conditioning, fridge, hot water shower and safety box

Our five standard air conditioned bungalows  have a total area of 24 Sq.m and are equipped with king size bed, air conditioning, fan, hot water shower and safety box. Standard Fan Bungalow Our eleven standard fan bungalows (18 Sq.m) have queen size bed, fresh water showers, safety box & fan.

RESTAURANT The Moonhut restaurant is situated right on the beachfront and is open all day for breakfast through to dinner. We serve authentic Thai food, Seafood and Western style food, and regularly organize beach barbecues. We have a well-stocked beach front bar serving cocktails, wines, beers & spirits, with daily happy hours. We also have a large Thai style sala directly on our beachfront where you can enjoy a traditional Thai massage and many other body treatments.

AMENITIES

All bungalows have balcony & private bathroom. Family & Superior Beachfront Bungalows have fridge. Superior & Standard AC bungalows have hot showers and air-conditioning. All bungalows are cleaned daily. Bathroom towels provided & changed daily. Safety deposit box in all bungalows. Restaurant and beach bar with Satellite TV & Pool table. Waterskiing, tubing & wakeboarding. (February to October only)

OTHER FACILITIES
Our speedboat is available for round the island or fishing trips, or you can try waterskiing and wakeboarding in our calm & beautiful waters. We have motorbikes and 4 X 4 jeeps for individual exploring or we can arrange a tour to any of Samui or the surrounding areas islands and attractions for you. A five minute walk along the beach takes you to Maenam village and the ferry pier, which has regular crossings to Koh Pha Ngan and Koh Tao. Nathon, the capital of Samui, is a twenty minute drive from Moonhut, here you will find the Surat Thani ferry pier and a bustling mix of shops, cafes & restaurants. If you want pubs, clubs and an exciting night out, Chaweng Beach is only a short Taxi ride away and offers entertainment to suit all tastes.
