Terry Leigh 2009-09-06	Golden Hill Resort, Thong Sala My fiancee and I had a fantastic time at the Golden Hill Resort. We are travelling Asia and have stayed in some real holes in the past month. Arriving at Golden Hill we were greeted with warm smiles and 2 bottles of water (a nice touch when youve been travelling for 16hours!). The rooms are spacious with the Sky movie channels you sometimes get, the food was nice but most of all the people were so friendly and accomodating. For the price this place was incredible. We highly recommend it.	Very good
Damien Rafferty 2009-08-08	Golden Hill Resort, Thong Sala Stayed here for 5 days... primarily as a base for full moon. Location is a bit remote but has amazing coastline views (after you climb the very steep hill) about 20 mins in taxi to had-rin beach. Food in restauarant was lovely and staff were very friendly. Great place to chill by the pool for a few days and if you want to be outside the madness of had-rin. Good value too!	Very efficient.
Shaun Lordan 2009-08-08	Golden Hill Resort, Thong Sala Good size rooms, try to get a bungalow if u can, well worth the extra. staff are very very friendly and the food is suberb, however when the hotel is very busy it can take a while to get food (an hour usually at peak times) but this is fine, its a small place, so just order a little bit before u actually want to eat, problem solved. me and my mate stayed here during the full moon period, when we first got there was worried that it would be dead, but it soon picked up and was bustling the day before. great pool with amazing views of the sea, a 5-10 minute walk to the beach, but I recommend jumping in a songathaew and popping to haad yao beach for dinner and sunset at least one night, was beautiful. one last note, make the taxi drive u to the top of the hill, its a bitch getting up there at the best of times, not to say after a few buckets. All in all would definitely come back and stay. Recommended	very fast and efficient, no security problems. All is good.
Julian 2009-08-08	Golden Hill Resort, Thong Sala Das Hotel ist sehr familiaer mit einer tollen Atmosphaere. Der Service war sehr zuvorkommend, die Zimmer gross inclusive eines (grossen) Balkons. Das Golden Hill Resort liegt nahe der Hauptstadt Koh Phangans, Thongsala. Dennoch ist die Verkehrsanbindung etwas problematisch, mann kann sich allerdings fuer 200 Baht (4 Euro) / Tag ein Moped direkt im Hotel leihen, ist wirklich empfehlenswert. Ich wuerde wieder hinfahren und kann das Hotel jedem empfehlen. Gerade zur Fullmoon-Zeit ist es ganz entspannend, etwas vom Trubel in Haad Rin entfernt zu sein. Fuer die Leute, die zur Party moechten, wird ein kostenguenstiger Transfer angeboten.\r\n\r\nAchtung: Wer einen reinen Strandurlaub einplant, ist dort falsch aufgehoben, jedenfalls war bei uns nur Ebbe und kein direkter Strandzugang, der Pool des Hotels ist auch relativ klein, genuegt aber fuer eine Abkuehlung. Fazit: Wer sich entspannen moechte, gerne mit dem Moped unterwegs ist und zum Baden sowieso nach Samui zurueckfaehrt :-) ist dort gut aufgehoben	Lief alles problemlos.
Rhian Hunter 2009-06-08	Golden Hill Resort, Thong Sala Quiet hotel as it was low season, but nice place with ok pool,food etc. About 5 mins from Thongsala town, but have to go in taxi. Haad rin is better town as its busier.	Booking service was quick and easy.

Its about a 10-15 minute drive/motorbike to get to Haad Rin but believe me you will want to get away from that place after a few nights of partying. The beach isn t too far, but you will need to hire a motorbike from the hotel (200 baht per day) to see some interesting places EG - eagle beach	Would be a lot better with instant confirmation

The staff is very nice and professional. Hotel clean, spacious rooms with many conforts comparing to the standard. I higly suggest this resort...	Simply perfect!!
Raymond Milne 2008-02-20 until 2008-02-24	Golden Hill Resort, Thong Sala Hotel nice enough but staff are very unhelpful and demanded full payment for 4 nights despite us checking out one day early. They then openly admitted that they would rent the same room once more to ensure they get paid twice for the same room. Restaurant very slow, over one hour wait for a simple meal of noddles and chicken.
Lauren Keep 2008-02-20 until 2008-02-24	Golden Hill Resort, Thong Sala I stayed here for the duration of the Full Moon in Feb 2008, and it was probably one of the best places I d stayed in Thailand. We stayed in one of the bungalows. The rooms were very clean, spacious and very good value for money. There s no beach, but it is only a short walk down the road to a very quiet and beautiful gem of one that we found. The staff were fantastic, very friendly and accomodating. It s a great location, far enough away from Haad Rin to be quiet, but close enough so it s very easy and cheap to get a taxi to the party! Excellent, very pleased with this find. The only downside is the big hill to get up to the main restaurant and reception!	excellent
