dennis g mitchell 2009-11-19	Golden Bay Cottage, Koh Lanta Yai, Klong Dao Beach This was actually on Koh Lanta. It is a typical sit down and sunburn resort, populated mainly by older (Swedish) Europeans. Price was good for the facilities. Breakfast is typical Western type brekky, but they will custom cook your eggs and omelette. The hotel organised a taxi to Krabi without any fuss. If you want to be a little adventurous, walk out the 800m to the main road, and to the left are several restaurants which should all be cheaper than the resort - most menus have some (fractured) English on them. A good one is the first (I think) you come to - it appears to be family owned, and the younger couple there have a three year old son who is usually there evenings. They make an incredible fried rice! If you want to tour the island relatively cheaply, you should be able to hire a tuk tuk (we didn t have the time in only 2 days)- hire for a half day I would guess B500 as a reasonable price, and double this for a full day. This way you go where YOU want to go, and not the tour operator!	I always use this when I go to Thailand (twice a year)
Paul Stacey 2009-11-03	Golden Bay Cottage, Koh Lanta Yai, Klong Dao Beach Stayed in Standard room which was very nice and clean. Hotel is right on the beach and has a very nice swimming pool. Staff were helpful and friendly. Would definitely recommend this place, if you want a quiet, relaxing stay.	Great, no problems.

They put on a fun Christmas party that we enjoyed. Our rooms were very clean and comfortable. The location was right on the beach and we couldn t have asked for a better massage. We would definitely return to this hotel - it was a great week! Highly recommended.	Easy to use - accurate!

Nearby the sea, beatiful garden (very quiet and peaceful)and the bungalow was just perfect (our bungalow was by the garden under a big tree!).It was very fresh and clean. We had a good breakfast every morning looking at the sea! The staff was very nice. If we needed them they was always there and when we wanted to we could be by ourself. The restaurant was very good. We can really recomend this place!	Everything was perfect!
