Thai Ayodhya Villas & Spa, Lamai Beach
This was our second stay at this hotel and the good impression from last year was repeated. The staff are always eager to help and make you feel welcome. The rooms and the whole resort are very clean and continually being looked after. The pool is large enough to actually swim in it and also very clean at all times. Again, there were very few guests which might be due to the fact that the hotel is situated at a very quiet location which might not be the thing for young people or those seeking action, however, it was exactly what we wanted. The Thai food is excellent and if you wish for something that is not on the menu they will be happy to prepare it for you. If they don t have the ingredients (e.g. fresh mussels) handy that day, they will order them for you and you can enjoy them the next day. European food is not always very exciting - but after all, we don t come to Thailand to eat European food! Once again we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and can recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a quiet location, a lovely resort and attentive service.
Fabulous, as always! We had to change the dates of our reservations and had a few specific wishes on top and everything was resolved to our full satisfaction.

Hotel is good, beach is good, quite and peaceful. Very uncomfortable furniture in the rooms. Very poor and minimal cable coverage. Cant stay out of room most of the day. Not really close to the main Lemai Beach street with restuarants etc
Did not provide full picture of hotel location i.e. isolation

Location very quiet. Nice rooms. We stayed in a family suite sea view. Very spacious and clean (two rooms with two bathrooms), fridge. Staff very friendly. Lamai beach shopping and entertainment area is reachable on foot (15 min walk on the seashore) Resort restaurant a bit expensive, but service and food very nice.
Super. Recommended.

Excellent hotel. Very quiet, but meticulously tended garden. Nice villa, although with a little Spartan decoration. Great pool and beach area. Very courteous staff. Really a place to recommend to anyone looking for a nice and quiet spot within walking distance of the nightlife of Lamai or a short taxiride to bustling Chaweng.
Who else would you turn to if you intend to travel to Thailand? Excellent as ever.

The Hotel was lovely but I think overpriced. The staff were great and very friendly but it was the only restaurant that added tax and tips as part of the bill. We did stay at another resort on Koh Samui for our first night that was half the price and probably nicer. Saying that, the pool was beautiful and the location quiet and relaxing.

Thai Ayodhya Villas & Spa, Lamai Beach
We stayed at Ayodhya Villas for Xmas and NY 2007/08. Hotel is located at the quiet end of Lamai beach, out of the main street where everything happens. This worked perfectly for us, taxis are readily available but if you need a little quiet time... Ayodhya Villas must be THE cleanest hotel on the island. They really take care of every little corner, the garden is perfectly maintained and rooms are very clean too. Service is brilliant. Our friends had their 5 year old daughter with them. One evening we wanted to go out w/o her... so, the General Manager helped us out and baby sit for us. Where else in the world can you find hospitality like that? When it comes to food and service in the restaurant - you better off eating elsewhere. There are many restaurants just around the corner from there where food is delicious. Spa is little expencive side, there are few ladies working at the end of the beach not far from the hotel, this is where we had our daily massage... All in all, holiday was perfect, we will definatelly re-visit Koh Samui and will stay Thai Ayodhya Villas again.
Sawadee booking sevice is second to none. Reminders were sent via @mail and text when payments were due. They also arrange a trasnport from and to airport. Would use the service again and recommend to others.

Thai Ayodhya Villas & Spa, Lamai Beach
Thai Ayodha is ideally situated on the south end of Lamai beach. It has its private beach which is a plus. The sea floor has some big stones so be careful not to hurt your foot when going in. The sea deepens fast and waves are quite strong so inexperienced swimmers better stay in the pool which is beautiful and has a great view of the sea. The bungalow we stayed in was spacious and clean, but the furniture was quite old and used. The A/C was effective but very noisy. Also the roofs dont have gutters so the water just runs off the tiles and hits the ground with a loud dripping noise which may be annoying to light sleepers. The staff is very friendly and attentive and they deserve 100 points for really trying their best to make our stay comfortable. Their English is limited as anywhere on Samui but there is a Philippine girl at the reception whose English is excellent. The restaurant food was clean and tasty, breakfast was good and plentiful. Prices are almost European standard in the hotel so we mostly ate in the village. All in all we enjoyed our time apart from the few annoyances mentioned above. Value for the price could be better though - i expected a bit more for 160 dollars a night, but again we were there for the peak of the high season.
Fast and efficient as always, thanks!

This is a really nice hotel and especially their villas they are new, clean and comfortable. I could recommend it to anybody. We really enjoyed very nice accommodation and really nice pool with an excellent view. The only point I would reconsider next time is type of villa. They have 4 pool side villas where should be lack of privacy especially in high season. We had a sea view villa but I expected a little bit more. They say that they have 14 sea view villas but I can’t imagine where they could find them (maybe using binoculars and chop down some trees). We had the first villa closest to the sea and even our range of vision was limited. Next time I will take definitely garden view villa as it has much better value for your money and difference is not so big. We were there in a low season and this hotel was almost empty (approx 5 couples). We had a problem with their breakfasts. It was ala carte and I undestand that buffet for 10 guests wouldn’t make a sense. But their menu it was almost impossible to have something healty – just yogurt and maybe fruit (warm papaya, pineapple and watermelon). The rest was just eggs, sausages, toasts, pancakes, croissants and fried rice. It should be much better during high season. Their chef had a little bit limited offer during the day but quality was great. They waitstaff was really helpful but their English was with one exception disaster. Especially during our breakfasts we sometimes received something different and „grapefruit“ and „mixed fruit“ juice was also sometimes the same. They did their best but their ability to undestand and their pronunciation was our nightmare. The location could be for somebody a problem. The surrounding area is quite and it is necessary to go to the center or visit Chaweng Beach. We hired a car (20 EUR/day) and then motorbike (5 EUR-day) and it was nice to make our evening trips. On the beach you should expect rocks in the sea but we had no problem with that at all.
Easy and efficient. I would just appreciate possibility to pay with my Diners Club credit card.

This place is getting 6 out of 5 stars.. No less!.. We had a great time at the place, the view from the swimming pool is perfect. We lived in the garden Villa s and it was very beautiful. The staff was incredible helpful. They really took care of us with a smile, helped us with everything. They even helped us when my friend crashed into a taxi - they took care of the negotiating, so the price went 33% down. I can only recommned this place.
No problems. Easy.
