Eden Bungalows, Bophut Beach Beautiful place with well appointed rooms, well maintained, quiet and relaxing. However, I did have a run in with the French owner when it came to pay as I wished to pay by c/c, but was informed there was going to be 4% surcharge. I didn t pay a surcharge when I paid a deposit thru the reservation system and certainly did not expect to pay one when settling up with the owner. After much debate, I agreed to pay the 4% after being threatened with the police (we are taking about $6 here, but it was the principle), however, the link with c/c company was down and we eventually paid in cash. After an hour the owner came out and apologised, gave me a resort shirt as a peace offering and I gave him a bottle of beer and we were friends again. I would recommend staying here, just be aware of the 4% c/c levy or pay in cash. |
Maybe mention that if customers wish to pay by c/c, some hotels etc. may levy an addition charge. |

Eden Bungalows, Bophut Beach Fantastic. An oasis. Friendly staff though if you go at new year don t be surprised if the owner drenches you with water. Also beware of Gerald s deadly MaiTais. All different nationalities were there and it was great to meet and spend time with them. You need a good sense of humour to take on the French. |

Eden Bungalows, Bophut Beach Nice and clean with a nice garden, but a bit overprized and no breakfast included in the price. However good situation right in Fishermans village if you don t want to stay in the resorts further away on the beach. Pool area is very small. |

Eden Bungalows, Bophut Beach Eden Bungalows is very expensive for what you get. Deluxe is a fair sized room, but dark despite large sliding doors. Was given a room where the previous occupant was a heavy indoor smoker, air freshener was the solution, no other solution was offered. Outside bathroom sounds like a good idea until you get a stomach bug and realise that because the rooms are in a block and your neighbours can hear every detail. Some of the other rooms looked like prison cells when we sneaked a peek. Beware any hotel that asks you to pay the full amount of the stay in cash in advance! Good hotels do not need to, they are always ensured of full occupancy. The pool is tiny. Breakfast is not included. Beach is over the road but there is current massive construction ongoing next to the beach.I would have liked the room maid to have cleaned the bathroom rather than just tidied the products. The Smile Bungalows next door are much bigger, more comforatable and cheaper. Bo Phut itsefl is upmarket and expensive and definately has a Mediterranean feelbut then why go to Thailand. I was not happy with the value for money. |

Eden Bungalows, Bophut Beach Despite the beautiful garden surrounding the rooms/bungalows, the accomodation is vastly overpriced (and breakfast is not even included). The rooms were relatively small and not very clean. During our 4-day stay we have never seen so many cockroaches in our room as during our entire 4-week stay in Thailand and the provided towels smelled awfully unpleased! The french female owner was very helpful and gave a couple of good suggestions for nice plavces to visit away from the crowds. Her french husband/co-owner is a guy who couldn t care less about his guests. |

Eden Bungalows, Bophut Beach We booked 3 nights at this hotel and then decided to stay 6 nights...which is a good sign. Charmful address, nice food, good advices from the hotel boss. Not positioned on the beach but much cheaper also. A real good address for Routard people. To recommend. |
good f-up! |
