Mooban Talay Resort, Koh Samet, Noi Na Beach This resort was perfect! It is absolutely beautiful. The pictures from the website do not do it justice. The staff was so friendly and they went above and beyond to take care of our every request. I can not wait to return to Mooban Talay! Thank you to all of the staff for a perfect vacation! |

Mooban Talay Resort, Koh Samet, Noi Na Beach hotel provides free ferry transfer from the nuanthip pier in ban phe. freshly squeezed juice and freshly brewed coffee for breakfast, hotel ammenities ok, superior bungallow still can see the beach. hotel is located at the end of public road, so there is no road between the hotel/room and the beach, which was great. many fishing boat anchored hundred of yards away -- pretty sight at night. very quiet beach but some rubbish drifted from the mainland presumably. a pretty outcrop to the north of the hotel/cape noi na is worth a visit. why they don t clean dog litters in the beach? lots of trees and nice garden, we even saw some hornbill birds for several days. more than enough sunbeds for everyone, also several thatched roof huts with hammock for those who prefers shade. |

Mooban Talay Resort, Koh Samet, Noi Na Beach I stayed at this hotel 5 years ago during high season and thought it was the best hotel because it has a nice white sand isolated beach away from banana boats and tour groups. There is really no where else on Samet that you can have a bungalow right next to your own beach. This trip during low season I wasn t as impressed. The rooms are run down, so they seem way overpriced. Other beaches during low season aren t that crowded so this hotel loses its advantage. There was no hot water in our delux bungalow. The hotel staff couldn t help us because the water heater was too far away from the room. This was the same 5 years ago. Everyone must complain about this, but they haven t tried to fix it. We also had water leaking out of our Refrigerator all over the room. Next time I m staying somewhere else. |
Sawadee was great. Super fast and better price than agoda. They aren t always cheaper, but this time they were. A lot of time sawadee can get rooms even when other sites don t have any rooms left. |

Mooban Talay Resort, Koh Samet, Noi Na Beach The hotel was beautiful. This is not the first time I ve come and definately not the last. The hotel is right up at the top of the island, away from everyone. It s like you have the whole beach to yourself! |

Mooban Talay Resort, Koh Samet, Noi Na Beach Excellent resort and private beach. Very Zen. Loved the location and this was my second visit in a year there. Its quiet and stunning. The beach is pristine and water fabulous. A bit too $$ in these economic crisis times though but lovley. It is a delightful and totally relaxing place to stay and the best on Koh Samet and I recommend it to everyone. It would be good if they had push bikes on hire and cheaper kayaks. But otherwise brilliant. Make sure you ask for fresh coffee at breakfast otherwise theyll give you nescafe! |
Very good booking service and very efficient. |

Mooban Talay Resort, Koh Samet, Noi Na Beach I can see this resort as being a very romantic spot with better weather than the rainy season offers travellers at this time of the year. Accommodations were spaceous and comfortable and memorable in terms of the unique touches in the luxury bungalows, situated a stone s throw away from the beach. Had a nice peaceful time here. Staff were very friendly and service oriented. I liked the local ferryboat that took us visitors back to the mainland. Very convenient. |
the booking service system indicated that the first choice I had made for a hotel on Koh Samed was not available, so I took this as a working option. |

Mooban Talay Resort, Koh Samet, Noi Na Beach Although a nice resort, it is not worth the money spent. It is a nice quiet area, but the 4 to 5K baht that they charge is just too expensive. The resort itself closes at 10pm (didn t mention this when we dropped off our keys, so came home at 10.30 to a closed reception without our room keys...), there are no tv s in the rooms, no bathtub, just the private outdoor shower (not always convenient when it rains) and generally there is just not much to do at or around the resort. The food at the restaurant, although not bad, is too expensive for what you get, and better food can be had much cheaper at other parts of the island. Has to be said that the service of the staff is generally good and friendly. The resort is far away from the main bar/restaurant area at Had Sai Kiew/Ao Phai, and with a taxi between 200 and 300 baht 1 way, it s inconveniently located if you don t want to spend the whole day at the resort and not spend a big chunk of your budget on taxi fares. All in all just not worth the expenses. Would consider going again if they would lower their prices with 2/3rd. |
Booking with Sawadee.com was quick and efficient as always. |

Mooban Talay Resort, Koh Samet, Noi Na Beach Rooms were nice, clean and quiet. The staff was nice. The food was good (fairly expensive on the island). The beach was only OK--no real waves--and it is a long walk to a better beach. I would recommend this hotel. |
