Stayed two nights, staff very nice and friendly, clean room, somewhat worn, but for the price what would you expect. GREAT gym and pool.
wonderful

My wife and I stayed for 3 nights, but spend most of the time in the center of Bangkok. The hotel was ok, clean and good room-service, but the breakfast was under standard, the food was cold no matter what time you arrived.
Very good!

We chose this hotel because we were coming in on a late flight, leaving for Koh Chang on an early flight the next day, and needed to stay somewhere near the airport. This hotel served it s purpose, but our room was pretty noisy even though we were on a higher floor because it was right on the highway. Beds were comfy but other furniture seemed a bit worn. An alternative I would highly recommend is the Amari Atrium, which is in the same area as Maxx and only min from the airport. We got the same rate ($56 USD) directly through the Amari website and were very impressed by the hotel, the restaurants, our king sized bed was VERY comfy, room was quiet, etc. A MUCH better deal!!

We only stayed at Maxx for one night. We chose it simply because it was close to the freeway entrance and allowed for a quick trip to the airport - no traffic problems. It s an impressive enough Hotel, and certainly for the price is good value for money. Check-in seemed to take longer than usual, especially as we were the only ones at the front desk. We felt like they weren t expecting us. These suspicions seemed to be confirmed when the room they checked us into had two single beds despite us asking for a double on the booking sheet. We had to wait at least thirty minutes before they could organise another one for us. Complaints? The wake-up call we booked never came. The bathroom was very small and the in-room safe didn t work. The Lobby Bar generated alot of noise which we could hear and we seemed to be there on a night where private parties were happening in a few rooms around us. The MRT is a good fifteen minute walk, and as such there is nothing in the immediate vicinity of the Hotel. None of these are huge complaints, just a few little negatives which add up. Good points? The Concierge on arrival was very friendly and helpful. It only took twenty minutes to the Airport and breakfast is available from 0530. Overall, as a base to explore Bangkok its a bit far out. Ideally you want easy access to your Hotel, and this doesn t offer that. It has the feel of a Hotel built for businessmen.
Love the service. Booked our whole Thailand trip using Sawadee. Maxx honoured the booking, but we don t feel they were expecting us (which is a comment more on the Hotel than on the booking service).
