Martin W. Schmid 2008-04-20 until 2008-04-21	Avana Hotel & Residence, Airport - nearby Suvarnabhumi Great hotel, i must have stayed here 10 times already. Brand new TV´s in the rooms, balcony, free fitness and swimming pool, dining at the pool, hiot sauna (80 Baht), great hotel and definetly recomment it. Not far from the Suvarnabhumi airport.	RES24ASIA is a great booking website for Thailand, like Sawasdee, only a bit faster and better overview of regions and hotels. I recommend Res24asia.com to anyone.

While the relocation of the airport can partly explain its price hike, their renovations over the years have only affected common areas (pool, lobby, etc.); a lot more needs to be done inside the guest rooms before they can claim to have truly upgraded the place (not to mention increasing the number of elevators - waits are often annoyingly long). I really only stay here due to proximity to airport and relatives living in Bang Na. There are similarly priced hotels in Silom and other conveniently located parts of the city that I would certainly recommend over the Avana. That said, this is a decent hotel, with a nice pool area, very friendly and helpful staff and conveniently located near the airport.	Flawless as usual.

Nice, large rooms, excellent service, and extensive buffet breakfast (included). As an airport hotel, though, it s a little far from the airport (30 minutes)... but for the price it s worth the drive.

Hotel is not easy to get to, a mosquito haven, lots of stray cats, service is really bad, staff very unhelful, no towels, staff agreed to a rate one day and upped price next day. A bad experience all round.	Excellent as always, recommend Sawadee to anyone.
