Tenta Nakara, Koh Naka Yai
This place isn t for everyone but I absolutely loved it. No electricity or hot water, but extremely relaxing, entire beach to myself, great food and very friendly staff. I haven t slept so well in years.... sounds of nature lull you to sleep with gently breeze off the ocean. If I am Thailand again I will definitely return!

booking the stay and arrangement of transportation was perfect

Tenta Nakara, Koh Naka Yai
Well what can i say, the best bungalow, the best views and the resort to ourselves the best way to start your holiday. An amazing resort surounded by nature which you can just sit and stare at all day. The food was amazing and very cheap, along with the cocktails and beer. We only stayed two nights but just what you need if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of life and unwind after a long flights. The resort organised our transport from the airport to a jetty and then onto a long tail boat. We arrived at night so waking up the next morning was something special. Obviously there is no AC only a fan. But hey what the hell your in the jungle next to a beach and there are always cold drinks. Enjoy

Tenta Nakara, Koh Naka Yai
I never imagine there is a place like this on earth! It is truly enjoying “Nature In the Most Natural Way!” It was like camping in a tree house in the jungle with absolute comfort. The tent is definitely one of a kind and very unique. Sleeping on a firm, clean bed with a complete modern amenities yet rustic bathroom all under one roof is just amazing!! (We had one with a tree right in the center of our bathroom.) It definitely makes you feel a sense of being completely with nature… Awesome! It is truly magical to fall asleep to the sound of nature with a romantically burning oil lamp and waking up just to watch the sunrise without even getting out of bed! An out of this world experience! We loved the great food (something else!), cocktails, and hanging out in the restaurants watching yachts sail by. The staffs are very friendly (always with a smile). It is a peaceful and beautiful place. Very quiet and ideal for people who want to get away from city lifestyle and completely be one with nature. We already can’t wait to return! Highly recommended!!!

Very simple. Problem free.

Tenta Nakara, Koh Naka Yai
Tenta Nakara is truly a paradise! Their website is nice but it’s reality takes your breath away!! There was a welcome crew who greeted us at the beach upon arrival. Our bags were brought to our “tented bungalow” which is set on hill side. The spectacular view of the ocean from our bed and all corners of our tent was just unbelievable and awesome! We spent 2 nights listening to the sounds of crickets, frogs, birds, and the sound of waves hitting the shore 50 meters away. It was truly an unforgettable experience not available anywhere else. The oil lamp at night was just… romantic and 2 nights was not quite enough to take it all in! The tent was huge with a big strong king size bed. The large screened window and doors give you a very open feeling with breeze flowing through and naturally keeping the mosquitoes away. It’s brilliantly designed and is definitely one of a kind that compliments the environment to ensure you can truly enjoy nature in it’s most original habitat. You will never imagine the creative design of a rustic bathroom that is only half covered to make showering underneath the sun and the stars a truly refreshing experience! The service of staff was Tops! Not professionals but very attentive and eager to get us whatever we wanted. All in all we loved this hidden paradise!

Tenta Nakara, Koh Naka Yai
Our 4 nights in the Bungalow tent at the djungle hillside at Tenta Nakara (Naka Yai) was the 4 best days on our holiday and really something to remember. Way from the stream of tourist and very nice staff always ready and always with a smile to give away. Wonderful food but rather expensive and only a small notice mentioned that 17% was added to all meals when it was time to pay last day(normally that is included and you don t notice when not). Beach not as good as on the internet presentation and should also be cleaned more often in front of the bungalow area. Transfer fee to island must be clarified ! In total we can really recommend Tenta Nakara.

Very easy to book but when it says free transfer you assume it is both ways (also from the Island). Pricelist also wrong said bth600 but we had to pay bth700.

Tenta Nakara, Koh Naka Yai
It is a tent so expect heat with no fan cooling. Also no mosquito net so unless you keep flaps closed you will get bitten. And keeping the flaps closed keeps you hot. Some eco aspects not quite in keeping with green ethics, exposed pipes overground for water etc. Excellent isolated location, beach to just this establishment although difficult to use for swimming due to coral at low tide. Expensive beers and water, more than twice that of anywhere on Phuket, and with no complimentary water costs can add up with no where else to go unless 15 min walk to beach with 100 sunbeds during daylight only, not great as presumably its to get away from that sort of thing on Phuket which brought you here in the first place.

Smooth efficient easy to use service

Tenta Nakara, Koh Naka Yai
This place is a mini paradise and yet close to the hustle and bustle of Phuket. When we stayed we were one of only 2 occupants, so were lucky enough to practically have the resort to ourselves! Despite the lack of electricity (you get oil lamps)the rooms/tents were brilliant, set on stilted bungalows amongst actual jungle. The food is very good in the restaurant, but they don t take cards so take enough cash with you otherwise you ll have to get a longtail to Phuket. The beach is amazing, just like a desert island. We loved it!

Very easy to book and no problems at all. Would recommend.

Tenta Nakara, Koh Naka Yai
Tenta Nakara is the kind of place you are lucky to find and want to keep the secret to yourself! We were offered a choice of bungalows and opted for the one at the top, (the view was so amazing) and the staff cheerfully carried our (very heavy!) bags all the way to the top and explained about keeping the screens closed to keep the insects out (we didn t get bitten at all) and left us to settle in! The bed was the biggest bed I have ever slept in and very comfy too, the rooms are spacious with a desk and rails for your clothes and hooks to hang your lantern on. We kept our nets closed but opened the outer sheet of the tent in the evenings, a lovely breeze came in from the sea and the view into the jungle at night was awesome. One thing I was concerned about before arriving at the island was that in essence you are a captive audience for your stay and I hoped that the food and drink prices were reasonable. We paid around the same for drinks as in Phuket and the food was so good and so reasonably priced. I had fish every day and was able to pick the fish from the fishing boat in the afternoon and have it cooked for me that evening...you don t get fresher than that!! There is power in the restaurant in the evening from 6 til 10 so you can charge your phones or anything you need to and at 10pm the generator is turned off and then you are treated to the noises of nature! We spent many evenings chatting and drinking with others on the island, great company. If you are looking for something different from Thailand and your trip, then I would definitely recommend Tenta Nakara. It was such a refreshing experience to actually have time to relax and read books without any distractions - as close to paradise as I think you can get. I can t wait to return

Easy to use, responded quickly to questions
