The Alpine Golf Resort Chiang Mai comprises some 450 rai of land that nestles in a valley between the mountain ranges in the heart of the San Kampaeng natural forests. It is undoubtedly one of the golf courses in Chiang Mai that boast of the best in natural beauty. The design of the course, by world-famous golf course designer Mr. Ron M Garl, was inspired by the magnificent hills in its horizon. No matter where you are on the course, you are enjoy nature at her best: exquisite lush green from the nearby forests - which comprise a rich assembly of trees such as the golden teakwood, the Dipterocarpus Altus and many more other species.

Then, the 18-hole course is designed along championship standards to challenge the serious player, although indeed anyone who enjoys golfing in the fresh country air, close to nature, would find it equally pleasant. The resort has 78 rooms all of which offer spectacular views of the magnificent landscape of the hills and the golf course. Only four floors high, it has 56 standard rooms, 12 one-bedroom suites, and 10 two-bedroom suits. There are also two rooms with facilities for the handicapped. The Resort Restaurant

This 150-seat restaurant is the main dining outlet of the resort, which provides all-day dining. The restaurant not only has many culinary delights to offer its guests, but, located on the ground floor, it also allows guests to enjoy the wonderful view of the surrounding landscapes of the golf course - making dining an altogether delightful experience. Al fresco dining in the open section of the restaurant is equally enjoyable. The restaurant operates from 06:00 hours to 23:00 hours.

To relax over drinks, or indulge in a quick snack, there is the Poolside Bar which serves a delightful variety of drinks and light refreshments of Thai, Western and spa cuisine selections. It is located on the ground floor, overlooking the pool, spa and gardens. With some 50 seats and 11 recliners, and spread out over approximately 660 sq.m. of open space, it is just the place to chill out and relax.

For guests who need to organize corporate meetings, the resort also has meeting rooms that can cater to groups of various sizes from 25 to 300 people. Promising the ultimate in spa experience, the facilities at the Heritage Spa leaves guests spoilt for choice. There are 4 luxurious spa pavilions located around the resorts swimming pool. Each pavilion has a large mineral-water Jacuzzi, a steam bath and treatment area. In the spa center, there are 18 treatment rooms, a beauty salon, sauna facility, an outdoor Jacuzzi as well as a fully-outfitted fitness center.

For guests who want to pamper themselves, Heritage Spa offers a wide variety of treatments including body massage, aromatherapy, Thai herbal massage, body cleansing and body wrap, facials and mineral spa baths.

This opening par4 doglegs slightly to the left. The fairway is wide enough that the large bunker to the right should not come into play. The only trouble on the tee shot is for the very long hitter that may hit through the fairway on the right side.

The second shot will be a medium iron to a large green with bunker front left and chipping area to the right.
