The hotel was fairly good. But just a tip. when you make a booking make sure that you request for a room on the 2nd or 3rd floor. The food is the best treat of this hotel. I should say: Best budget hotel for your money. Staff are polite and helpful and the best thing - honest! We left a blackberry charging in the room and went out shopping. When we returned, it was still there and the room was made! honest staff they have!

booking service - quick action and reply.

This will be my third comment on this hotel, and I cannot praise it too highly!! For $AUS50 a double including brekky, you cannot go past this place. Most of the staff remembered me from my last trip some six months ago (probably because I speak some Thai, and speak it reasonably correctly), but my observations are that all guests are treated with great courtesy. The hotel is well located to the shopping, buses and BTS (Skytrain) - take a 77 bus to Victory Monument from the opposite side of the main road some 300 metres distant, and then a 551 bus to the airport bus station(and reverse!) - will cost about B50 total!! I was put into the one room (201) which has no window on my first night there after a long flight, so had no idea of the time in the morning as no light in the room from the window . I mentioned this (without criticism) to the desk staff in the morning, and got a profuse apology and a very quick move to a room with a window to the open air. No cost, no drama, they understood the need and organised it without fuss - moved my baggage while I was out in the City to the new room after it was cleaned and made up. I cannot praise this hotel too highly.

Fantastic and efficient as always

PJ WAtergate Hotel Crappy place! Dirty small room, NO WINDOW. Deserves 35$ paid. We immediately checked out to Novotel on siam square for 200USD night. There was good aтв 5 steps to Siam paragon shopping center. But dont take floors above 15, boilers are too noisy inside

Hotel is quite good- great breakfast, great food generally, we are always end up eating dinner there as well, it s cheap and so good... Good service, hotel is pretty basic but everything is working fine, have free WI-FI on ground floor which is a bonus, location is great for doing a shopping, especially wholesale shopping, main tourists shopping centres in Siam area and computer center Pantip Plaza is very close too, so we really like to stay in PJ Watergate whan we are in Bangkok.

Booking on sawadee is always easy and quick.

ALL IS WELL AS WE ARRIVED ON TIME FROM PATTAYA.ROOM NOT READY SO WE WENT ON THE GRAND PALACE TOUR ONLY SET BACK, WE WERE NOT INFORM OF THE DRESS CODE TO ENTER THE PALACE GROUND.BY THE TOUR OFFICE STAFF OTHERWISE THEY WERE VERY HELPFUL AND NICE. NOT A VERY GOOD VIEW FOR DOUBLE BED ROOM.HAVE BEEN HERE ONLY THE TWIN GETS GARDEN VIEW, BREAKFAST WAS GOOD, MOST OF THE RESTAURANT STAFF ARE CHEERFUL IN THE MORNING, HOWEVER IF YOU ARE NOT A FARANG OR EUROPEAN DON T EXPECT ANY BETTER SERVICE MOST OF THE WINDOW TABLE SEAT WILL BE GIVEN PRIORITY TO FARANG WHEN ONE IS AROUND. WONDER DO THEY LIKE TO HAVE OTHER TOURIST TOO?

I stayed here in July and commented on the musty smell in the rooms. This time around they fixed it!!! I was there on three separate occasions in three different rooms totaling about 10 days out of three weeks. The hotel front desk is excellent, and helped me with a problem involving an unwanted and uninvited guest, using excellent tact etc. Breakfast is excellent - either Thai or Western according to your taste. Hot water is lukewarm in the shower, like about 80% of Thai hotels in this price range. The hotel is well located to BTS Skytrain (about 1.5km from Chitlom), and there are plenty of buses (No.13 will take you to the next BTS on the Siam line Ratchadamri or to Saladaeng (which is an interchange with the Silom subway station). Plenty of taxis, tuk tuks also handy, and very good local clothes shopping.

Excellent as always, and readily contactable by phone when there is a problem, as in this case when I transferred a booking from another hotel to this one.

The breakfast is good and the hotel is clean and nearby to other shopping complexes. The staff there are friendly. The only thing I have to comment is that the hotel should have a jug or kettle for boiling water. When I was there I asked for one and they said I have to pay for the jug. Most hotels do have this kind of facility as we can make a cup of hot drink during the night if we had the jug.

Booking was made easy through online.

My favourite Bangkok hotel was booked so Sawadee offered this one. It is about 1 to 2km from the skytrain (taxi and tuk tuk drivers will take a VERY long way there to maximise their fares -so beware!). The hotel was a little rundown. A very musty smell on entering the room, but it went soon enough in the aircon. Breakfast is good with plenty of choice. Service very good and courteous. For B1200, worth the price at the location.

Excellent as always.
