Banburee Resort & Spa, Laem Set Beach
very quit place no beach for swimming, a good place for someone who likes to stay in Samui without too many tourists on a very quit spot on a very busy island

Banburee Resort & Spa, Laem Set Beach
My wife and I spent 4 days at Banburee as a part of our honeymoon and both of us enjoyed it very much. The hotel is nice and isolated from the busy tourist spots. Although it is a bit far away from Lamai and Chewang but the resort offers a free shuttle bus a few times per day. The rate is reasonable even for a sea view villa during the high season. Overall a very relaxing experience.

Wonderful. Efficient.

Banburee Resort & Spa, Laem Set Beach
We stayed at this hotel for six nights in July 2006. Good hotel on the whole. Nice staff. Nice and clean superior room we had with a lovely bathroom that has a wonderful view of the sea, mountains, and trees. There is also a beautiful Jacuzzi in the bathroom. Unfortunately, the swimming pool is not what the pictures show in the sawadee.com website. Because there is always a low tide, the “beach” looks awful all the time.

Good. No problem.

The resort is great for relax but the hotel staff must improve learning foreign languages. The breakfast is ok. Overall Staff is nice and very helpful.

From beginning has slightly problem. Finally the booking ok. Also I send e-mail to them. but they will take long time to respond or no feedback.

Banburee Resort & Spa, Laem Set Beach
The family villa was superb. A large bedroom with separate entrance room. The bathroom was large and well supplied with robes, towels and soaps etc. There was even an outside shower! Some people might think that these villas are too close to one another. It s a steep climb down to the pool area but it was well laid out and large enough along with a small shallow pool for the kids. From the pool area it is possible to step down to the beach - but only when the tide is out! But it was a bit dirty and not good for the kids. Breakfast wasn t too good and the restaurant is open and not air conditioned. The meals were a bit hit and miss. Parts of this area needed a good clean. The Spa treatments were of an average standard. Better attention to detail is required. Other Spas offer better. THIS RESORT IS ISOLATED. The staff don t understand enough English - although they were very helpful. Should we return to Ko Samui I think we would stay elsewhere.

Initially we checked with the resort direct and were told that there were vacancies for the dates we required. When we tried to book through Sawadee.com we were told that there weren t. It took a phone call to Sawadee.com to explain this and a further 24hrs for a booking confirmation. The staff were very helpful though and soon sorted out a minor problem. We found the website very good too, especially the interactive maps. We ll use this again for our travel requirements to asia.
