Michael J Johnston 2009-09-07	Thavorn Beach Village & Spa, Nakalay Beach hotel is ideally situated,nice and relaxing,away from the hustle and bustle of in your face tuk tuks vendors.hotel is very well maintained ie,gardens pools and is architecturaly nice.staff are presented neat and tidy and very helpfull and courteous.the restaurants ,bar and pool bar service are expensive,but good.the beach is stoney when tide out,but there is a nice but small stretch of sand when tide in,it is a bit rough when waves are coming in though,always the pool;which is good and big.problems,yes we had a few,we booked villa over looking pool with jacuzzi,no jacuzzi?room nice though.went to extend our stay ,but had to book an upgrade because room was unavailable,no problem pay the extra 6000bht for poolside access villa with jacuzzi for 4 nights,no jacuzzi?.nice villa though.now our new villa was right next to our original villa which lay empty for the rest of our stay,not happy about that,hotel blame booking agent ,booking agent blame hotel.mossies and bites,normally i do not get bitten,well some thing loved us both,we thought it was the plant on our pool balcony,no,it was either the bed or ac system,i sprayed the room every night and that seemed to do the trick,.hotel does not do transport to airport,but can provide taxi service for 800bht,we were only 400bht to get there,;;just little things but decent enough hotel,but wont be back to patong.	need to comunicate better with hotel,i paid 3500bht more than i should have as my original room lay empty but was supposed to be occupied

Foods and drinks compared to hotels where we have been earlier was extremely expensive. Otherwise the service was good and the swimming pool was great and very large.	Booking works great.

With stunning views and surrounds it provided a quiet escape from the hustle and bustle of patong and only a 10 minute shuttle ride. The only recommendation is that there needs to be more shuttles on as they only run at 10am, 3pm, and 9:15pm.Service was great and always met with a smile.	Good.

Andrew Tang 2006-07-12 until 2006-07-14	Thavorn Beach Village & Spa, Nakalay Beach I was there during the low season so there isn t any beach activity as it s the moonsoon season and it has been raining everyday. Put up at the ocean villa room and was surprised to know that in order to return to my room, I had to take a tram up the steep hill. Very interesting concept yet this wasn t mentioned online at all. The unique garden themed pool is a plus and the daily breakfast is pretty standard. As for the rooms, it s generally neat and tidy but one can see that this resort has been around for quite a while now. The private Nakalay beach area is a plus for someone who wants to be away from the touting of the locals, unlike the busier Patong Beach. However, the beach front is filled with large stones which makes swimming a little hazardous. In summary it s a resort a family can consider for their selection as the overall facilities of this place does make it conducive for family.	Fast, responsive, secure. Been using it this site for a year now.
