James Ramon Witt 2008-10-20	Suriwongse Hotel, near Night Bazaar, Chang Klan Older hotel, and needs a refurbishing. Room was large and everything worked, but the carpet was very stained and worn. Other furnishing showing age as well. Very well located near night market but was still quiet. Staff were ok, but one of the lobby travel agents tried to rip me off.	Excellent as usual(been using for several years now)
Wong Chun Keong 2008-09-13	Suriwongse Hotel, near Night Bazaar, Chang Klan The hotel location is great and conveniet for shopping district. But, i would like to suggest the hotel to renovate the overall building and i believe that it can be improved a lot. Nothing much to comment and complaint, it is worth what you paid for. Would recommend to my friends if they are going to Chiang Mai.	Good and efficiency. Less headache!!!
Vivian Huey-Chee Lim 2008-09-04	Suriwongse Hotel, near Night Bazaar, Chang Klan 6/10. slightly old architecture (60 s type hotel). good location. look out for hawkers outside, they get really annoying. has a nice deep pool. massage on-site is excellent. note weird acetone like toxic fumes in the vents + construction noise (hammering in the walls). complimentary buffet in the morning NOT MEMORABLE. use them for bus back to airport - 120 baht per person. beds soft and comfy.
Chandrashekar Ramarao 2008-08-28	Suriwongse Hotel, near Night Bazaar, Chang Klan The room we booked (Deluxe) was huge - the best value room we stayed in, in Thailand. The staff were friendly and efficient. I also liked the location, which was a suprise as we originally wanted to stay in the old city. There were plenty of restaurants, shops and activity around which was good for a short stay in Chiang Mai. We were travelling with two young kids.	No problems and their rates were better than going directly through the hotel.
Dr Akashah 2008-08-14 until 2008-08-18	Suriwongse Hotel, near Night Bazaar, Chang Klan Good location as it is just across the road to the night market.It is also near the halal food restaurants within the night market and chinese muslim mosque.Reasonably clean and most of the hotel employees are friendly.Generally we enjoyed our stay there.But if you have children with you make sure you check that everything in the room is in order .We were made to pay 500BHT for a faulty small knob on the tv and sink cabinet door which fell apart when my 6yr old child was trying to lean forward to reach the tap.The otherwise very enjoyable holiday was a little spoilt by the incident as we had never encountered such problem before though we have been travelling with our child since she was a year old.Anyway it was really a good trip.	Booking through sawadee.com was easy and prompt and very professional.Will use the service again next time around.Thank you .

Very near to the night bazaar which is just across the road from the hotel. Rooms were big!! Toilets were huge!! Recommended to anyone who wants to stay on a budget	great service!!!

Gareth Owen Woods 2008-07-18	Suriwongse Hotel, near Night Bazaar, Chang Klan The Surawongse is situated right by Chang Mai s night market, but this does not create any disturbance except for the porters moving the iron wheeled market stalls about on the street outside. The hotel has seen better days, it is a little thread bare in places, but is perfectly adequate in terms of service and comfort.The rooms are clean and spacious.The usual tourism trips to Hill tribe villages, elephant treks etc can be booked in the hotel lobby, at a premium, or outside with individual taxi drivers or tour companies. There are lots of eating places with in a few hundred metres. The area is very tourist orientated, 90% of the people we saw using the market were tourists and that was in low season.The hotel represents very good value for money and has the added bonus of being owned by the same person as a local hospital.There is a free pick up service to and from the hospital. This came in very useful for us as our 7 year old daughter became quite ill after picking up a chest infection in Bangkok. The medical treatment was first class, with only a ten minute wait to see a specialist, and very cheap. In fact it was so cheap it was not worth claiming anything on our travel insurance. The only down side to the Surawongse is that the swimming pool is not child friendly, with no real shallow end,it goes from 1.8 to 2.8 metres, and broken steps to get in and out of the pool.This was as of July 2008, so may be the steps have been replaced by now.	Sawadee.com was up to its usual high standard. We have used it so many times now and always with 100% reliability. It really takes the hassle out of booking your holiday in Thailand. Highly recommended.
