Chatrium Residence (formerly Oakwood), Sathorn Road / Narathivas Road Very happy with our experience at this serviced apartment complex. Read some previous comments about deposits and the like, but there was no nonsense here - a simple swipe of the amex card was taken but nothing rung up on it (I checked online to be sure). Check in was efficient and courteous and the staff speak good English. One Bedroom apartment was spacious and in good repair. Only slight complaint was that aircon seemed either too warm or else freezing cold, difficult to find a happy medium. The facilities in the complex itself are ample and were open over New Year which isn t always the case in Thailand as it s a big holiday period. Nice location - a little bit removed from the main city areas but only a short taxi ride, and there is Central Rama III shopping mall within walking distance anyway. Liked it so much have already booked again for Chinese New Year!! |
Worked flawlessly - have booked several times via Sawasdee and they have not yet let me down... |

Oakwood City Residence, Sathorn Road / Narathivas Road Rooms are good, and the breakfast more than adequate. However, my prescrition sunglasses we re stolen from my room. the front desk had no concern over the theft. I will never stay at OAkwood again |

Oakwood City Residence, Sathorn Road / Narathivas Road clean room (modern kitchen) two balconies (great views) – breakfast included in price very good- negative point my only grumbles are the aircon was beastly too noisy me and my wife could not sleep…. And on checkin asked to pay 8000 baht deposit? for two nights? this was reduced to 4000 then finally 2000 (i asked if i payed by card if i could get the deposit back in cash) this was agreed on check out i was told the card transaction would be cancelled and the money returned in two weeks? my wife is thai and thought this was unfair they had lied. Hotel would not print me anything to say it had been cancelled i was told to call my card company? surely on request of something being cancelled they have a duty to help? just felt me feeling bitter (i don t think the transaction was cancelled). Strangly they said every hotel in bangkok charges like this? one word untrue (infact i have other bookings this trip and was not charged any kind of room despoit!!!) still the hotel would not help us. Not what you expect from a 4 star hotel! |
sawadee tried to help regarding the deposit they said the hotel should not charged me like that, hotel agreed on the phone then their own thing... unhappy with hotel. |

Oakwood City Residence, Sathorn Road / Narathivas Road We really enjoyed the Oakwood City Residence. We had a one bedroom apartment which had a massive bedroom with good size en-suite; a separate lounge with dining area; a kitchen with microwave, large fridge, kettle etc. Extremely good value for money and a very quiet location. You d never know you were in a large city such as Bangkok. The pool area was idyllic. Breakfasts were great and we ate in the restaurant at least 3 nights and the food was excellent and again good value for money. Wouldn t hesitate in recommending these apartments to anyone. The service was also excellent and aimed to please at any request. |
Use Sawadee - they are very competitive and good value. Also very helpful. |

Oakwood City Residence, Sathorn Road / Narathivas Road Fantastic place to stay in Bangkok for those that want to stay in a quieter area. Great facilities with resturants close by and the shuttle or short taxi ride to the BTS for access to the centre. Great shopping centre nearby in Central Rama 3. Rooms are more than double the size of a standard hotel room and all have balconies. Staff are fantastic as is the food at the resturant/room service. I would highly recommend |
Excellent and easy |
