AGALIN is more than a boutique resort. It was conceived as a winter retreat by Khun AMNAD KHITAPANNA, one of Thailand's leading architects and designers, At Agalin the emphasis is on peace and privacy, with six individual buildings spaced relatively far apart, each with access to its own garden. At the centre is the mural decorated Agalin Hall, which houses a growing collection of portraits and artifacts. The Hall is used on occasion for performances and shows by local artists, and is perfect for baronial-style dining. The gardens of AGALIN cover an area of 15 acres, and are available for the pleasure and recreation of all its guests.

White Lodge

Suitable for friends and families This is the largest house at Agalin. The style is contemporary with large windows and glazed walls allowing for extensive views of the river.

Dove Cottage

A cottage inspired by John Nash's romantic follies, but with a Balinese touch!

• - The bedroom is up in the roof space, with a large mosquito netting canopy.
• - On the ground floor is a kitchenette, a bathroom, a sitting area connected through to a covered open sitting/dining area. The cottage has its own private garden leading to the river.

Tamarind Cottage

Best for the adventurous. Approx. total area 75 sq.m A spacious thatched cottage adapted from a traditional Lao Song dwelling, The cottage is on the river side, furnished in an elegant ethnic fashion and is not air conditioned.

• - The ground floor is open-plan with a raised sitting and a dining area.
• - There is an open-kitchenette; and a separate shower room and a toilet.
• - There are two bedrooms on the upper floor, each with two single beds under canopy style mosquito nets.

Banquet Room

A Lofty double-cube hall decorated with murals and antiques. The hall was originally a private theatre. It has a large stage with an oriel window of great size. There is also a raised "box" and an upper gallery. The hall is now used for dining and entertaining. It is an ideal venue for exclusive functions and conferences.

Garden

The gardens of "AGALIN" cover an area of 15 acres. They were designed by Khun Amnad with the help of the gifted Thai landscape designer, Khun Kanongdet and are available for the pleasure and recreation of all its guests.
