RUSSELL WILLIAMS 2009-09-20	Chaweng Garden Beach Resort, Chaweng Beach I stayed at resort from 15 Sep 2009 to 20 Sept 2009. I have stayed at Chaweng Gardens many ago before the Resort was fully redeveloped with the new Bungalows. The Modern tastefully decorated Room i stayed in was the most comfortable i have had on all my trips to Thailand going back to 1990. It was set well back from the road near the beach so i did not have any noise from the village of Chaweng at night. I don t agree with any of the coments i have seen in these reviews criticing the staff. The staff are extremely welcoming, and helpfull for instance there is free internet access in the reception if you have your own Notebook. A lot of other resorts charge a lot for internet access. If the staff see you sitting down in this area they jump up to turn on the fan to make sure you are comfortable. I have seen people arrive trying to negotiate a ridiculous rate which would have been a price in 1990. The staff kindly advise them where there is a cheap room in the village and even offered to drive them there in their golf carts. Perhaps due to language difficulties these people ask Why are you doing this . The reason the staff are doing this is just because they are nice friendly people. On arrival at the reception you will be ferried with your bags to your room in one of their Golf carts. The food is very good at this resort. They have a great Seafood restaurant next to reception and on the beach a great seafood barbecue. Anyone complaining that they did not get a late checkout because they did not order one has only themselves to blame for not telling the staff in advance. That is the same in any hotel in the world, if you don t tell people what you want then you won t get it. I would definitely come back to Chaweng Gardens

The new buildings and rooms are a great improvement - stayed in a tripplet which is absolutely recommendable.The place has a nice location and the garden i great - but beware of mosquiots!! Reception staff seems quite tired - perhaps the season has been too long...	Efficient

The pool is also fantastic and the food is great and very cheap. The staff at the reception are hopeless and very unpolite which is sad as they do not portray a good depiction of the rest of the hotel at all. 3.5 out 5 stars	Perfect as always! 5 star
